Role overview
Assisting the Senior Development Editor/Publishing Manager in planning, developing, prioritizing, implementing, and overseeing the publishing process. This ensures that books, products, and solutions are published/released within set deadlines, as per scope, according to budget, and are of the highest quality. The role also ensures the production of objective, accurate content without causing offense to any community.

Senior Development Editor/Associate Publishing Manager
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deliver resources aligned with pedagogical practices and curriculum requirements of the target market.
- Prepare and maintain publishing-related documents.
- Evaluate key competition and prepare detailed competition analysis for new series and revisions.
- Develop sample chapter templates with all necessary features.
- Evaluate manuscripts and outline the manuscript development process and its delivery.
- Collaborate with authors to ensure project completion on time, within the approved scope and budget.
- Ensure content accuracy and oversee all varieties of editing for published resources.
- Interact with freelancers, content developers, reviewers, and authors to finalize books, digital components, and teacher support materials.
- Sign off on the handover of the final print-ready PDF of books and final deliverables of digital components to the product development team, as per the pre-approved scope of work.
- Deliver projects within the allotted budget.
- Ensure compliance with processes established by Cambridge University Press when dealing with freelancers, content developers, subject matter experts, suppliers, and vendors.
- Stay informed about new developments in the K12 publishing segment.
- Understand government guidelines and policies related to education.
- Monitor major developments from CBSE/ICSE boards, understanding their guidelines and policies.
- Understand the pedagogy and nuances of the subject matter.
- Understand the user environment of the target audience.
- Deliver product training to target customers.
- Manage client communication in Custom projects.

Qualifications
and Experience
- Master's degree in a relevant subject from a premium university or educational institute.

- Exposure to assessment creation and implementation.
