Role overview
We are looking for an FP&A & GL Analyst to join Wiley's Finance team. Reporting to the Manager and FP&A Team Lead, this role will support financial planning, reporting, forecasting, and general ledger activities across Wiley's global operations. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a growing support function, working with stakeholders across regions to deliver insights, improve processes, and support key finance activities.
Responsibilities
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close and forecasting activities.
- Prepare journal entries, accruals, prepaids, and financial reports.
- Analyze financial results, investigate variances, and resolve discrepancies.
- Assist in preparing management reporting packs and ad hoc analysis.
- Collaborate with global finance teams and business stakeholders.
- Support transitions of new FP&A processes into the Shared Services environment.
- Drive process improvements, standardization, and automation initiatives.
- Support KPI reporting and audit requests as required.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related discipline.
- 1-3 years of experience in FP&A, General Ledger, Reporting, or Shared Services Finance.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.
- Experience with journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and reporting activities.
- Proficiency in SAP and advanced Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with financial reporting tools such as Power BI, TM1, EPM, or similar systems is preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a global environment.
- Continuous improvement mindset and a strong attention to detail.
Compensation and Benefits
- It is anticipated that most qualified candidates will fall within the range, however the ultimate salary offered for this role may be higher or lower and will be set based on a variety of non-discriminatory factors, including but not limited to, geographic location, skills, and competencies. Wiley proactively displays target base pay range for United Kingdom, Canada and USA based roles.
