Role overview
HarperCollins India is seeking a Manager – Product and Marketing for Collins International. This role is crucial for driving the success of Collins International titles by developing and executing effective marketing strategies and providing in-depth product knowledge. You will work with a variety of stakeholders to ensure our products meet market needs and are effectively promoted.
This is a full-time, hybrid position.
Responsibilities
- Conduct product trainings on Collins International titles for schools or sales teams.
- Plan and execute marketing activities, including student and teacher initiatives.
- Collect and analyze market and product feedback or insights.
- Contribute original ideas for visibility, engagement, and brand-building activities.
- Identify and empanel resource people for workshops.
- Support internal and external stakeholders with pre- and post-sales product sessions.
- Prepare product presentations and conduct briefings and trainings in schools.
- Support internal and external events across the country.
- Specify market requirements for current and future products by conducting market research, supported by on-going visits to schools following the CIE curriculum.
- Stay updated and share market developments in the curriculum and pedagogy of competitors.
- Consolidate and share product feedback (title-wise) from the market.
- Generate leads for the sales team in schools.
- Build a strong Resource Person (RP) network in the region.
- Create and manage a database with segmentation for principals, teachers, students, and parents.
- Ensure cost-effective marketing (workshop or event) spends for the region.
- Liaise with sales, editorial, and digital teams to help develop product features and plan releases.
Qualifications
& Work Experience
- MA, MSc, or an equivalent qualification.
- 7-8 years of experience in a similar role within publishing or teaching.
- Strong knowledge of different subjects and the ability to articulate features, benefits, and pedagogy with ease, aligned with the CIE curriculum.
