Learn more about our impact: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=87ejFfnQzkoRole OverviewThe Marketing Specialist plays a key role in increasing the visibility and impact of Frontiers' flagship content and strategic initiatives across the China market, including Frontiers for Young Minds, Frontiers in Science, Planet Prize, and other high-profile programs.You will plan, localize, and execute digital marketing campaigns and audience engagement activities that connect researchers, educators, and the wider public with groundbreaking science. Working closely with global and regional stakeholders, you will help strengthen Frontiers' brand presence, grow audience engagement, and deliver data-driven recommendations that maximize campaign performance.Key ResponsibilitiesCoordinate and execute marketing campaigns for Frontiers flagship initiatives, including Frontiers for Young Minds, Frontiers in Science, Planet Prize, and other strategic programsAdapt and localize global campaign materials, messaging, and content for Chinese academic and public audiencesMonitor digital and social media trends to increase visibility, engagement, and impactTrack and analyze campaign performance metrics and provide recommendations for optimizationCollaborate with marketing, editorial, design, and content teams to ensure consistent branding and messagingBuild relationships with researchers, influencers, agencies, and other external stakeholdersOrganize and support events and outreach activities that strengthen Frontiers' presence within academic and scientific communitiesContribute creative ideas and content that support Frontiers' mission of making science openRequirementsKnowledge, Skills & Experience2-3 years of experience in digital marketing, social media management, communications, or a related fieldStrong understanding of digital and social media platforms and audience engagement strategiesExperience creating, adapting, and promoting content for different target audiencesProficiency with social media management and analytics toolsStrong analytical skills and the ability to translate data into actionable insightsExcellent organizational and project management skillsStrong written and verbal communication skills in Chinese and EnglishBachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related fieldExperience within academic publishing, science communication, education, or a related sector is an advantage Basic video editing skills (e.g., CapCut, Premiere Pro, or similar tools) is a plusBenefitsWhat we can offer youExtra wellbeing days on top of your annual leave allowanceUp to 3 paid volunteering days each year24/7 confidential Employee Assistance Programme for wellbeing, mental health, legal and financial supportLearning & development opportunities through the Frontiers Learning HubA locally relevant benefits package aligned to your country, including healthcare and pension/retirement provision where applicableA collaboration-led, office-first culture with role-appropriate flexibilityInternational teams and a diverse, global working environmentEqual Opportunity StatementFrontiers actively embraces diversity and is a safe and welcoming workplace.
