Role overview
HarperCollins Publishers is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated team player to join our rights department as a Rights Assistant on a 12-month maternity relief basis. This role has a focus on administrative support to our Head of Rights and coordinating projects.
Responsibilities
- Assessing, scanning, and cataloguing documents as part of the scanning project
- Entering and updating rights and H360 information in relevant databases
- Tracking submissions, managing in-house approvals, attending supply meetings, and managing requests for assets or promotional information for the Harper360 program
- Under direction from the Head of Rights, managing third-party licensing for large print
- Assisting with administration for English Language and translation licenses and licensing activities
- Creating presentation materials, including rights guides
Requirements
- Data entry experience
- High level of attention to detail
- High level time management skills
- Intermediate to advanced MS Office skills
- Customer service and business communication skills, both verbal and written (superior spelling and grammar)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
